CLARK and All Lift Team Up to Help Habitat for Humanity

In October of 2015 the employees of CLARK wanted to do something very special during the celebration of their Centennial Celebration, so they settled upon raising funds to build a Habitat for Humanity home. Their goal was $30,000 to be matched by CLARK if they achieved this goal. They were pleased to announce that a year later, they had raised the $30,000 and CLARK matched their funds to become the sole sponsor for a home to be built for the Alvarez family.

Groundbreaking for the home commenced in March of 2016 and construction volunteers included 68 CLARK employees, 18 family members and friends of the Alvarez family. A little over a year later, on June 24th, 2017 the new home was dedicated and the Alvarez family moved in the following week.

Fund raising by the CLARK employees included raffles, car washes, silent auctions, Hairy for the Holidays competition and simply by eating chocolate! One of the fund raising included the raffling of a new CLARK Goat recreational vehicle. All Lift’s President, John L. Gelsimino was the winner of the GOAT and couldn’t believe it. “I’m shocked, I never win anything” John exclaimed as he was told he was the winner.  It didn’t take much time at all for John to come to the realization that the GOAT would be much better utilized by a caring organization like Habitat, so he asked if they could use it. Tears of joy ran down the faces of Dana Stefaniak and Rachel Childress of Habitat as they accepted the generous gift.

It’s a great story, everyone wins and All Lift is proud to be a partner of a company like CLARK and glad we could play a part in the success of the event, and Habitat for Humanity. Below is a picture of John L. Gelsimino, his father, our founder, Dana and Rachel of Habitat for Humanity and two members of the Alvarez family.
